Based out of Holly, MI, Jake Long & Stephen Michael accidently
formed COAST in the Summer of 2025 while sharing a gig together.
Steve reached out to Jake for a party in Boyne City, MI, where the hosts wanted
“band energy but chill”.
So, set up on a patio next to a bonfire overlooking Lake Charlevoix,
we played from sunset into the night for a hundred of the friendliest people
who showed us love like we were old pals - the best gig we’d ever played.
On the long drive home the next day,
we agreed, “if every gig was a bonfire on a beach - life would be pretty much be perfect.” Then . . . a long pause . . . “Why can’t we do that?”

with a fire dancing - all are welcome.

Acoustic Pop/Rock and Reggae Rock mellowed up between two graham crackers with chocolate, COAST is a Michigan duo on a quest to bring people together and disconnect from the world. Bring your close friends and leave a little closer.

With over 1,500 combined shows prior to forming COAST - Steve (Vocals • Guitar) & Jake (Drum Kit • Cajon) have been full-time musicians since 2018 in the Metro Detroit area, providing live music as a solo-entertainer and in various bands.
